Data4Action is a project supported by the European Commission's Intelligent Energy Programme in which energy agencies from 12 European regions are participating. It was launched on 1 March, 2014 and will continue for 3 years.
The aim of the project is to foster collaboration in exchanging energy information among public authorities and data providers. This will provide public authorities with greater access to data, allowing them to monitor sustainable energy action plans at local and regional level better. The project will promote the creation of an information centre in each of the participating regions, where public authorities will have access to data from the different energy information providers.
Ente Vasco de la Energía will provide Basque municipal authorities with specific information to assist in monitoring indicators of energy consumption and actions being carried out in the area of energy sustainability in their municipal area.
